The Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate set on a 138 acre site is a fabulous five star hotel, located on the outskirts of Galway City as you head for Connemara and only 2.5 miles from Galway City Centre. The stunning picturesque views all the way down to Lough Corrib will take your breath away and it really offers so much as a location for any couple who are in the process of planning their wedding. 

The elegance of the Victorian inspired décor and beautiful stone-cut restored Abbey which is ideal for intimate civil ceremonies, the timeless beauty of The River Room. The grandeur of The Corrib Suite, with its panoramic views over Lough Corrib, guests will be amazed by the beauty and enchantment of this truly magnificent property. 

The staff at the hotel are second to none friendly, super professional and their attention to detail well let’s just say it’s top notch, you won’t be disappointed.

I have been very fortunate to shoot many weddings there and I know the venue very well and I’ve always found the staff from General Manager right down to the waiting staff to be genuinely friendly and courteous even to a humble photographer as yours truly.

So it’s a big, big thumbs up and I hope I get the opportunity to get back there again soon.
