Cloghan Castle is a beautiful location on the outskirts of Loughrea, in rural county Galway. The castle was built by Richard de Burgh, Lord of Connaught in 1236. It is now owned by the Burke family.
The Castle is a romantic wedding venue which offers exclusivity & privacy for your special day. It is surrounded by acres of picturesque scenery, there are so many opportunities for photographs on the grounds and inside the stunning castle, perfect to make you feel like the King and Queen on your day. The castle makes for a beautiful backdrop to your wedding. For civil ceremonies it is a truly magical setting, some couples choose to have their ceremony on site and along with their festivities without ever having to leave the location.
The General Manager, Kim Monaghan, will help you plan out your wedding and work with you to realise all your dreams. From their years of experience, they can recommend a wide range suppliers, from catering to bus hire and everything in between. Their experienced, professional staff all work together to make your day run smoothly.
Each time I photograph a wedding at the castle, I find new interesting angles and locations; the beautifully maintained castle with all of its modern amenities affords so many opportunities to capture stunning wedding photographs.
Cloghan Castle is also a popular choice for many destination weddings, including Irish American Weddings, who wish to have their Irish Castle Wedding.
Here is a selection of previous weddings that I have photographed at this fabulous wedding venue.
