The 2022 wedding season is in full flow and the past few months have been absolutely hectic to the point that weekends seem to come around in the blink of an eye. COVID had a huge impact on weddings going ahead. With restrictions eased and normal life attempting to return, weddings that were postponed are now going ahead along with the normal wedding bookings that would have been taken for the current calendar year.  Most wedding vendors that I chat to say the same thing, weeks are currently a blur. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I’m delighted to be busy as a wedding photographer; I thoroughly enjoy what I do and I’m passionate almost to the point of obsession, but it is an adjustment being so busy after all of the lockdowns that we all endured.  It’s an absolute pleasure being a wedding photographer and meeting all the couples who trust you with one of the most important days in their lives. It’s great again also being able to meet the people that you would cross paths frequently over the course of the year photographing weddings. Unfortunately I don’t bump into other photographers much, but it’s great again meeting other wedding vendors such as videographers, hair stylists, makeup artists, florist, church and venue decorators, wedding planners, wedding singers, wedding bands musicians, wedding celebrants, wedding car hire, priests hotel managers, and a shout out also to the people who you don’t see on the wedding day but have all the hard work done prior to the wedding day arriving such as wedding dress & bridal gown suppliers along with suit hire specialists and wedding and engagement ring specialists. All of these people and, I know I have forgotten to include some work extremely hard to ensure that a wedding day is the best occasion that it can be. So well done to all the people I mentioned on the hard work, dedication and long hours they put in to ensure your wedding day is the memorable occasion that all wedding couples deserve.
