Jess and Tony came all the way from Texas in The United States of America for their intimate elopement in Co. Clare. They were accompanied by their two daughters, Jess’s mother and brother. Their ceremony was held at Tigh na Grá (House of Love) a purpose built location for elopement ceremonies. Working with me on the day was Vinny from VOS Weddings a talented videography and a great guy to work with on a wedding day. Vinny and I started at the prep location which was located in Doolin a picturesque village in Co. Clare, very popular with tourists and just a few minutes’ drive from the ceremony location. The simplicity and intimacy of the ceremony was a really lovely experience and both Vinny and I commented on how nice it was to be the people who got to capture the precious moments on cameras. After the ceremony we did some portraits at the ceremony location as there was a stunning backdrop which was ideal for family photographs.
Then Jess’s mother and brother brought the children back to their rented accommodation as we had a plan to take some couple photographs at The Cliffs of Moher. I’m very familiar with The Cliffs of Moher for wedding photography, but on the drive down that morning I spotted another location which I thought would be a good contrast to the planned location of the cliffs. It was a wooded area that already had some trees harvested along with a stone road way. So we started there first and spent about twenty minutes getting some great wedding images. We then headed to the cliffs which was about fifteen minutes away. The weather was on our side which was a blessing particularly if you are trying to take wedding photographs on west coast of Ireland. Jess and Tony had a particular place in mind that they wanted to take their wedding pictures and it was stunning. In reality there are so many options at The Cliffs of Moher for wedding photography. It was just a great experience and I was delighted that Jess and Tony trusted me to capture a very special day in their lives.
Thank you x.
